Employer Registration

If you're an employer looking to hire new talent in the Grand Rapids Area, the Community Job Fair is a great place to connect with qualified job seekers and promote your opportunities in a comfortable atmosphere.

The next Job Fair is Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Campus of Kentwood Community Church, located at 2950 Clyde Park Avenue SW.

Our monthly Community Job Fair was established in 2014 as a way to serve the community by bringing employers and job seekers (especially those who have faced barriers to employment) together in a comfortable environment to discuss viable employment options.

At each fair, we typically host 40 employers hiring for 500-1000 full, part-time, or seasonal jobs, and welcome 125-150 job seekers. Some employers come one-time or seasonally, based on need. Others participate every month, as they are always hiring.

Employer registration fees are $30 for Direct Hire Employers and $50 for Third-Party Recruiters. Fees paid by employers enable us to widen our reach by promoting the job fair via radio, print media, online, etc., to draw more job seekers to the event.

Please note that space is limited - we typically have room for 35 direct hire employers and 5 third-party recruiters. Our events often fill up several days before, so if you find that we are full when you try to register, please contact us to be added to a wait list. Also, all registrations are subject to approval. All registrations include:

  • One 6-foot table with two chairs 
  • Your business name included in our ad in the Sunday, September 9 Grand Rapids Press (the Sunday before the job fair), if you are registered by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 5
  • Free coffee, bottled water, donuts, and fruit
  • Free WiFi

The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. You may arrive as early as 8:00 am to select your table (first-come, first served) and set up. Many employers bring table throws, banners, table-top displays, etc. Some give away candy, promotional marketing items, etc. If you plan to bring a banner or more than two people, we recommend you arrive at 8:00 to select a table location that allows for more space. Please note that electrical outlets are very limited in our auditorium, so if you rely on power for your computer or mobile device, please be sure you are fully charged before you come, or that you bring an external power source with you.

Third party recruiters are defined as employment agencies, search firms, contract recruiters, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time or full-time employment opportunities other than for your own needs.
